Less benefits in 2008 for AEROFLOT
AEROFLOT, the Russian airline reported a substantial reduction of its net benefits during 2008, considered in about 40 million dollars. Managers of the company added that the operative costs rose in the 32.4 %, until little more than three thousand 300 million dollars. Between the causes of that behavior the losses of several of their branchs are mentioned, among them Aeroflot-Cargo, Aeroflot-Don and Aeroflot-Nord, located near to the edge the bankruptcy. Also, the company faced a substantial increase of the fuel’s price, an item that increased its price 51 %. In the first semester of 2009, AEROFLOT has undergone a fall of the volume of transportedpassengers of 11.5 %, up to 4.8 million clients.
