France and Spain could develope a UAV

During a press conference in Paris, Charles Edlstenne (Chairman and CEO of Dassault Aviation), Denis Ranque ( Chairman and CEO of Thales), Regino Morenchal (CEO of Indra) and Yair Shamir (Chairman of Israel Aerospaces Industries Ltd) commented the offer submitted to the French and Spanish Ministries of Defence for a UAV MALE (Unmanned Aerial Vehicle Medium-Altitude Long-Endurance) system to be developed within the framework of Franco-Spanish cooperation.
The proposed solution, entirely fulfills the requirements of both countries by taking into account the current budget constraints while addressing operational needs with a comprehensive high performance mission system, integrating leading technologies.
The first system could be operational as early as the end of 2012.
